Worked as expected (always an excellent app)

TurboTax has always been an excellent product. I hate pouring over the tax laws and TurboTax has relieved me of having to do that for the past 8 years or so. Thank you all who work at Intuit and contribute to the wonderful application! Taxes have almost become completely painless, the way they should have been from the start.
What's great about it: Quick D/L & Install. Taxes done and in the IRS' hands in under an hour.
What's not so great: None that come to mind

Failed at the finish line

would not accept my email as an ID...... so frustrating!!!
\Same with filing this review.....your system doesn't like my nickname i entered it four times ARGHHHHHH!
What's not so great: at the end when I wanted to file my Ca tax electronically - INTUIT decided they need user name, etc. well forget it!

Overall, anyone could use this even if they dont know what they need to gather prior to starting.
Minimal key strokes required to get it going.
For anyone with limited computer use, I would suggest the tutorial that's included and walks you through everything.
Otherwise you can breeze through this process or get more in depth as you require

What's great about it: Easy to follow, easy to check what document you need
What's not so great: Hard to figure out how to edit easy item like a phone number

I like using Turbo tax. I still don't quite know if I put in all the information I needed. I sometimes can't figure out where to put the various papers I have collected for taxes. This year was nerve racking because I worked half the year as a teacher and retired the second half. I started Social Security and started collecting my retirement. It's confusing when Turbo tax puts all the income in then when it takes out the deductions I never really know how much it takes out, just the final figure in red or green at the top. Is there some way to state "this much was taken out"?
What's great about it: Walked me through the whole process
What's not so great: The "find" button wasn't working but I used the top search tool and it worked!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great tax preparation software, easy to navigate, follow wizard, explains in plain English. I love it.
What's great about it: The audit risk chart
What's not so great: So far so good. Been using TurboTax for years
