Frustration

Had fraud on my 2013 return. Sent IP PIN from IRS. Very poor explanation on how to enter this information. You tried to generate a Form 14039 which was not needed since it happened in 2013. Almost impossible to get rid of it. I had to just forcibly delete the form. Not cool.
What's great about it: Good online help
What's not so great: Poor process for IP PIN entry

Great Software

I like using the software because it's easy to use and makes suggestions throughout the process. I am getting tired of having to pay each year for a full copy and charging to efile for a state return is just wrong.
What's great about it: Quick download, easy to use, can do multiple returns.
What's not so great: Have to pay each year, shouldn't have to pay extra to e-file state.

Had significant problems with Intuit Updater on both Federal and State. Not sure If I will use Turbo Tax in the future

I a sorry I am not good at writing, except most was easy except when it came to errors at the end. I could not find the error and had to contact Customer Service, who were great.
But I did not sleep, I was afraid of doing something wrong.

Not great!

I'm a long time user, with a desktop iMac running El Capitan. The software didn't run well. Lots of lags, calculating, slow! Very frustrating.
What's great about it: Does what it's supposed to do
What's not so great: software calculations very slow this year

Always Reliable and User Friendly

I have used Turbo Tax for the past 8 years or so and have done so for a reason: It has always come through with highly accurate information on how to complete forms and where to go to find help. When I can't answer a question it usually is a result of investment issues and I go to my broker for that info. Also, Turbo Tax keeps my info on file and saves a lot of time up front. I know there are other tax programs (some free), but I believe in staying with the one that I know how to use and is consistently a reliable performer.
What's great about it: Ease of use and helpful guidance through more difficult areas
What's not so great: Sometimes ask for information that isn't relevant or easily retrieved
