What's great about it: asked alot of questions
What's not so great: coudln't find some of the forms that were sent ot me

I keep getting a message for not supporting apple os lion which I have and is only 3-4 years old.I always waste so much paper on the printing. The process was fast up to that point.
What's great about it: fast to complete
What's not so great: slow to print two sided

Made tax preparation easy!

Overall, very pleased, will continue to use in future years.
What's great about it: Easy to follow, feel it covered all possible deductions and explained each entry in a very comprehensible manner.
What's not so great: would like to have all info saved automatically, forgot to save , and had to start all over again!

Great but always could be better!

Since I've been doing my taxes, there's always something that I don't have or need to get more information....I wish there was a way to flag a box, an entry, a section, or something that would allow me to come back to it? I would then have to remove the check manually before I could file my taxes or when reviewing. Maybe there would be a way to just go to all the flagged/checked entries and review and not waste time trying to find it. Every so often when I do go back to a section, I have to re-enter information I've already entered before.....especially when it's the "None apply" statements!
What's great about it: Good walk through...
What's not so great: Ways to go back and forth

We had a complicated return this year- Mortgage Interest from different companies, dividends, ESOP stock sales, and 3 years worth of back SSI payments. Turbotax knew how to handle all of it for both Federal and State returns. It was awesome, and we don't owe nearly as much as I thought we would.
What's great about it: It knew everything to ask
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

We love TurboTax. We have been using it since 2005. You simply can't go wrong with this program. I always let it guide me through each income and deduction section just so I can see what is new or improved for that year. The only thing more I could wish for is possibly a loyal customer offer?

turbo tax

I've used H&R Block in the past but they didn't offer a CD this year. I always need to load the tax program from a CD. I have poor internet access. So I used Turbo Tax this year because I could buy it on a CD. It seemed to work OK but the explanations were not as clear and easy to follow as H&R. It took longer to figure everything out, but in the end I got my taxes done. Aside from that, I feel comfortable with the result.
What's great about it: comes on a CD
What's not so great: not as easy as H&R Block to understand

Finally Done

Easy to use though could be confusing at times during walk through process. Some data that was obtained by program not explained as how it was arrived at....had to assume it was correct. Program attempted to complete a worksheet based on my spouse's occupation.....totally unneccessary and confusing. Felt more difficult to use this year than in previous years, but still better than doing everything by hand.
