I have been using TurboTax since 5 years ago. TurboTax software makes my tax refund paper work simple and receive refund check quicker. Thanks!

this time not so good

After filling out everything hit efile and turbo tax crashed Had to delete all files associated with turbo tax and reload disc then start all over and was charged for LA state return and had to pay for it again because of crash
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What's great about it: Walk Through, Lots of hints and expxlanations
What's not so great: Several instances where tried to get me to upgrade. Have been a user for years and know what I need.

Quicker Every Year

We have used TurboTax for more than a decade, and every year it has become easier to go through the tax forms. We itemize (since that yields a larger deduction), and TurboTax tells us the comparative deduction without prompting. Then makes their recommendation of which way to file.
On the downside, Turbo Tax continues to depend on community involvement when dealing with the rather large number of people who have some Canadian NR4 forms. Rather than offer assistance through the simple questions method Turbo Tax uses throughout the rest of the tax forms, the recommendation is to seek advice from others in similar circumstances. This seems chancy.
What's great about it: Guide Me covers relevant scenarios
What's not so great: Hasn't figured out Canada's NR4

Great Tax Return Support!

I definitely appreciated the in-depth, thorough review that Turbo Tax provided and the support in getting every refund available. And, the electronic filing feature is awesome, allowing me to complete the process at the click of the Efile button. Excellent product!

Inadequate State Preview

After completing the federal return the program required me to buy copy of another state to complete the state return. However, based on the info in the federal return, no tax was due in the state. So I bought the extra State version for no reason.
TT should be smart enough to tell the filer this before requiring another purchase of a state version for no reason.
