Improvement in 1099-B and General Question Guide

Entering data for 1099-B with incorrect cost basis is not handled smoothly. Unless end user clicks the correct buttons themselves for ESSP, there is no way to get adjusted cost basis and codes entered for form 8949. You don't ask questions before hand!!!!! You should immediately ask if the user has an incorrect cost basis as this is a very common case due to tax law changes.
Another suggestion for all pages in the program when you are stepping the user thru all questions which would be VERY helpful is to show what we answered for each question last year. Each year on run into to issues properly entering data for business deductions due to receiving a 1099-MISC form that is for work performed as a consultant and is not part of my normal job. It would be so much easier if you always showed me what I selected for each step by step question in TurboTax especially for items in the area of using part of my home for a business.
What's great about it: Overall very good
What's not so great: Poor handling and quesion asking around 1099-B with incorrect cost basis adjustments

Some entries were not clear but I was able move entries around to get them in the correct line item.
Did not like the FILING FEE AND % OF THE TOTAL FEE

What's great about it: I followed the steps and it worked

Complicated / Simplified

Also wish the addresses on the Donations section didn't disappear from year to year. Causes me unnecessary work. The software retains the name of the charities but not the addresses.
What's great about it: Easy to understand. Ask the appropriate questions. Makes the complicated tax schedules super easy!
What's not so great: Wish that the software did not "erase" check-marks when I return to review a section.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax At It Again!

Once again Turbo Tax saves me a bunch of headache on my time. This is the reason why for the past 5 years I've used Turbo Tax to do my taxes. Nothing beats learning it on your own.
What's great about it: Easy, affordable, and helps the everyday person learn more about their taxes.
What's not so great: Confusing, but only when I don't have the proper paper work.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF!!

I have used turbo tax for over 5 years and every year I dread starting my taxes - figuring it'll take me days to complete all the forms. Turbo tax makes it as simple as filling in the blanks! The search format helps you look for specific questions you might need answers for. You can easily review and edit any form. Once you used turbo tax you can "review and compare" this year with past years to make sure you haven't forgotten anything or entered anything incorrectly (you know, adding a zero to a number...or forgetting a zero!) I can't quite say it makes doing taxes enjoyable, but pretty close!
What's great about it: easy to understand, guides you through every question
What's not so great: none that I can think of

Have used TurboTax for more than a decade and it continues to cover about 99% of all situations that I've faced.
What's great about it: Everything you would expect
What's not so great: I can't find a simple calculator function. Does it exist?

I've been using TurboTax since 2000. The speed and easy usage of TurboTax is what makes me continue to want to use it.
What's great about it: Prompts make TurboTax very easy to use
