HAVE DONE STANDARD DEDUCTIONS IN THE PAST BUT THIS YEAR I WAS ABLE TO ITEMIZE BECAUSE OF CHANGES IN OUR LIVES. WE GOT A MUCH LARGER DEDUCTION. IT WAS VERY EASY.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What's great about it: Always liked Turbo Tax. This year was best yet.

Turbo Tax is a great product. It's ease of use and the fact that it walks you through each step of your return makes the process of computing and filing your taxes a breeze.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Allow 2014 return to be viewed

Would like to see the option to open the previous year's return while in the current year's software.
What's great about it: Easy to use and intuitive
What's not so great: doesn't allow previous year's return (2014) to be opened while in the 2015 software

A Farm is a business, confusing if you don't know that Farm Inc/Exp is entered after business inc/exp, 263A is not very clear as pertains to a vehicle.

Tax Return 2015
on April 12, 2016

Would like an up-front checklist that would allow me to put required paperwork in a "Next Up" format.
It seems that every year I miss something on the data entry and wind up trying to find just how and where I missed something.
What's great about it: Quite simple to use.
What's not so great: No organizational plan before beginning.

Not as Enamored as in years past

Not as enamored with TuboTax this year as I have been in the past. TurboTax told me I was ineligible for e-filing with my State Return due to some type of withholding that my state didn't allow but no way to find out what or why.
What's great about it: Imported data mostly correct
What's not so great: Wouldn't let me e-file Sate but no way to tell exactly why
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Tax Product Slipping in Usability
on April 12, 2016

In general, I like this product. But for the first time, I didn't automatically renew for next year. I found it harder to navigate than in past years, hard to go back to fix things the program said needing fixing. I found myself having to re-enter things I shouldn't have had to re-enter and unable to get to forms easily.
What's great about it: I love the concept and have used TurboTax for years. Great not to have to do the math myself, cuts down on research
What's not so great: Movement between forms and pages is getting more difficult. If you leave a page, it's hard to get back.
Pros: I moved
