'last 3 years I have had a problem with turbotax. thought it was the IRS but third year and same problem file rejected because turbotax mixed someone else information with mine some how

Muddled Through My Refund

This was much easier than doing it all on my own. I would use Turbo Tax again.

Consistently good

Overall Turbotax is consistently good, I have been using this for decades now. Actual time to complete and file Federal and State taxes is only a couple of hours once all of the background information has been gathered.
A good, professional product.
One thing you may have to watch out for is the auto-form creation. If you inadvertently click yes to a question you should have answered no to, some unfilled out forms may be flagged during the error checking. If so, just click on the forms button, scroll down until you see the red ! next to a form, and hit the delete button. Run error check again and the associated problem will be gone.
What's great about it: Provides totals from last year so you can do a quick sanity check
What's not so great: auto creates some forms you might need to delete

Good program, little rocky in Windows 10

Would like to have a better way to printout It's Deductible. To double check entry.
What's great about it: Easy as ever
What's not so great: had trouble getting correct info in correct box, on auto fill
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Acct sign up a pain

What's not so great: Account sign up wouldn't let me enter a password, ergo no acct.

Simplified and Thorough

I have been using TT for 15 years and recommend the thorough and simplified process to do the most detailed returns. Checks and cross checks, the returns are always completed correctly and sent securely. TT makes doing taxes almost enjoyable, but who likes paying taxes anyways!

A better job could have been done explaining the various health care categories or plans and the various retirement plans. Also, this version missed previous years 1099R pension statement and when I entered the pension data into TurboTax, it tried to walk me down a Roth 401K path that was misleading.
Other than that, it only took a day to complete.
What's great about it: I liked having more options to pay my tax online than was available last year.
What's not so great: The "learn more" options were not very helpful and the were small type which was difficult for me as an older tax payer
