What's not so great: could not print CA for mailing, took a couple of trys

Federal program is great, state is confusing.

Try I think all the commercially available tax software and this is a few bucks more up front but is so much easier to use and understand and follow.
What's great about it: Covers fed return well.
What's not so great: Not sure State captured my Iowa 529 college savings plan deduction fully.

One Evening - DONE!

The question prompts makes filing my Federal and State taxes very easy. This is my second year using TurboTax and I really liked how my info from last year is imported into the forms this year.
What's great about it: Last year's info made this year's filing easier & quicker.
What's not so great: Un-anticipated filing fee & process fee.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Dreaded doing my taxes with a new complication....

It gets quicker for me to use TT as I return to it each year. Accumulated experience with it is a huge benefit.
Turbotax is far from a free service, but my time is money too.
What's great about it: Turbotax got me through added complications to our filing without a headache.
What's not so great: It costs money to buy the package each year and to efile.

TT has a big problem. In state tax if you choose certain option and than if you try to go back and change my choice it will not let you do it. I had to start creating the entire return three times before I could get it right. Lot of wasted time..
