This is the 3rd year using Turbo Tax and it is the best. Although years prior operated better. For some reason this years software kept having to reload after it stopped responding. Sometimes after it sat idle for a bit while I looked up info. Sometimes it would stop in mid info input. Did not have this problem in previous years. All in all great software, and I'm a loyal user. Thanks Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Very easy, accurate, helpful, not expensive, available everywhere
What's not so great: stopped responding/kept reloading, not enough detail given

Very easy to use, very thorough and very accurate.

I have used TurboTax for many years, almost since it first became available. I am quite familiar with the whole process. Before TurboTax, I did my taxes manually filling out all of the forms by hand and then mailing the many forms. Comparison of current year items to prior year filed information helped me to discover two items that had been missed because we did not receive (or lost) the 1099-R forms from one payer.
What's great about it: Guides you all of the way.
What's not so great: Not many. Intuit has done a good job making it very easy to use.

Prices keep going up

Look, the state filing fee is a rip off, I'm just glad NY is smart enough to make it illegal. As much as prices have gone up in the last 3 years you could at least include one state filing.

Overall, TurboTax delivered a reliable product, again. The program is user friendly in terms of the way the questions are posed and provided a good explanation to unfamiliar terms.
What's great about it: The step-by-step features and explanations.
What's not so great: One area that took a while was the Self Employment feature (1099MISC). Information requested was unclear.

My thoughts

What's great about it: I liked the added intermediate summaries (I think these are new in 2015 tax prgm)
What's not so great: I wish that the overall summaries would also show the marginal tax rate along with eff tax rate.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Should not have to pay for any filing. purchased the software, the rest should be free.

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 30 years. Have had major life changes over the years. Married, divorced, bought and sold houses, bought vehicles. Turbo Tax has been amazing through everything!
