Not as good as in the past

Need direct access to someone via chat or phone.
What's great about it: easy logic to follow
What's not so great: My 2014 did not upload. Couldn't get help or an answer as to what to do to fix it.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Makes doing taxes easy!

I have been using TurboTax for years and couldn't manage without it at tax time. It will walk you through the entire return if you're not sure of what to do or go straight to the sections you need if you're a seasoned pro. Quick, easy and accurate. Love it!
What's great about it: easy to use; thorough; accurate
What's not so great: none

20 year anniversary

Overall, I love Turbo Tax. I've done taxes professionally for an accountant using other software, but find TurboTax easy to use. A person doesn't have to have an accounting degree to do the step-by-step and produce an accurate return..
What's great about it: I've used Turbo Tax successfully for 20 years, and have never had a problem.
What's not so great: Many changes in the software from year to year hinder the process and cause a delay in getting it done quickly

Federal program was very user friendly and easy to use. I felt the state program was not as good as the federal. Possibly it was that particular state and not Turbo Tax. Not sure.

Let me start by saying I love TurboTax. I've been using it for longer than I can remember. My tax situation has gone from simple to complex to simple and back to complex. TurboTax does a very good job with Federal returns. My only complaint is with State returns, at least for Maryland, but I suspect my comments apply to other states. It doesn't do a good job of automating some of the rules. For example, allocation of capital gains/loss between spouses. It asks me how much applies to my spouse, when it should be able to calculate that based on account ownership. And for many situations, it asks: "Does this situation apply?" I don't always know. The reason I use TurboTax is because I want to be led through the scenario, I don't want to have to research the situation in order to make a decision. For the complexities of the Federal rules, it does a great job. For the state rules, not so much.
What's great about it: Been using TurboTax for longer than I can remember. Continues to be easy and accurate.
What's not so great: State support could be improved a lot.

ESPP and RSU help could be a lot better. Don't see a question regarding is that comp in the W2 any more, and searched all over the place but didn't see it. Was there in the previous years.

Perfect for first timer

Great way to do your taxes on your own even for the first time . I would recommend it to anyone tired of paying a lot of money for something very simple to do with turbotax
