Good experience except updates

Aside from the one hangup with the e-filing due to the difficulty of getting the updates to install this continues to be the best and easiest way to file. I always feel like I got my money's worth from buying the software. This is the 12th year I have used TurboTax and I really would not want to do it any other way.
What's great about it: Great well organized helpful logical process. My 12th year with Turbo Tax.
What's not so great: Updates failed to install preventing e-filing for a while.

Allows for complications

As retired clergy, I must submit special form from my denominational pension board explaining why I am claiming no taxable amount on my pension benefits (allowed under Section 107 of the Revenue Code). As a result, I cannot e-file my returns, but must mail them in each year. I urge TurboTax to find a way to attach a scanned document to the return that then can be e-filed.
What's great about it: Allows over-rides to stand in other-than-normal filing situations
What's not so great: doesn't allow PDF or other attachments as explanations

TurboTax Get's the Assist

I used H&R Block software last year because of pricing (should have known better, had been using TurboTax for 10+ yrs prior), however I found the software to lack in basic needs such as importing brokerage data, etc... so went back to TurboTax and will continue to use for years to come!
What's great about it: Importing Brokerage Data
What's not so great: Missed Forms being checked.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

HC Form issue

I do not need a 1099-HC form for Massachusetts (nor was one sent to me). Even though TurboTax did not require me to add a 1099-HC, it kept on showing up as an error that I did not have one.
What's great about it: Imported most of the pertinant information from previous tax return
What's not so great: Did not need a 1099-HC, but gave me an error anyway
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
