back to jumpy ness. It bypassed things that I knew would help. I used the step by step process yet it never asked me what I paid in estimated taxes which took me from owing a bunch to getting a decent amount back.
What's great about it: I'm familiar to Turbo Tax & have used for years now
What's not so great: it seemed a bit jumping this year...skipping things, etc.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Great Again! After Like 20 years of use!

Once again, very nicely done! Had a few hiccups attempting to pull up forms that had been previously completed, or needed editing. Also, (not Turbo Tax's fault, but additional entries required for gov health care required forms.)
The e-filing is always fast and easy, I'll continue purchase TTAX again and again for subsequent year's tax chores!

What's great about it: Familiarity and Consistency
What's not so great: Only con this year, is when attempting to go back to edit a form, the navigation isn't quite as easy as in the past.

Not sure if it's because I switched from Window to MAC. I remember in the past, the program automaticcally started once the CD was inserted. This time it asked me to move the program to the Applications folder first. Took me a while to figure out what to do. Also, I remember in the past, I can pause and save. This time, I did not see the option so I saved via the MAC file->save option.
Also, I am confused about my Turbo Tax account. I have been using the software in years but it asked me to open an account in the beginning of the program, so I did with a different email address(I have 2 emails). After filing, it asked me to login to have CD sent to me automatically in Nov, so I did with the other email address. So now I am confused as to how many accounts I have.

What's great about it: Guide me through the process step by step. Very clear.

Hard to be easier

I have been using TurboTax for my personal tax preparation since the DOS days - 1986. My taxes are just complicated enough so the EZ form will not work. TurboTax makes the small complications I have very easy. The hardest part is gathering the data and entering the information into TurboTax's easy step by step process.
What's great about it: As painless as tax preparation could be

Very friendly and help features are great.
What's great about it: Very helpful on new topics, as much detail or as little as I need, probability of audit nice for peace of mind
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
