Help When You Need It!

I had to find a way to get to "Help" as even those buttons didn't work. Found a way to get help via the phone. Left my contact infor and was informed someone would call within 35 minutes, and they did. MJ helped me, walking me through everything with patience and understanding, as well as an outstanding sense of humor. She stayed on the phone until it was certain that the program was working as it should.
Well done!
What's great about it: Loading of information from previous year; comparisions
What's not so great: This is the first year I have had a problem. Updates wouldn't download.

Pretty Good

It would be helpful if the program let you see your last year's return to verify information (bank accounts, Car info, charitable organizations#. the help is good, although I'd like to see a "where do I enter this form #1099-x, etc." You can find this in the help, but it's not clear which responses are correct. Some responses are from users and it's not clear what's absolutely correct.
What's great about it: Walks you through the return and has good help
What's not so great: Some information hard to find

Flaws

Too many flaws. The automatic updates would not budge even after several attempts. It stuck on 11 minutes(which is where it started and never moved after 25 minutes. I repeated this nightmare twice. Eventually I had to use a manual procedure which was cumbersome. Ditto with the state forms except that is still not resolved.
What's great about it: Automated
What's not so great: Could not download updates--had to do it manually. State forms would not download either.

Made my return easy!

Inspite of the length of time it to load the software, the returns were completed and e-filed in an hour! Thank you!
What's great about it: Very simple to follow the prompts and complete my returns

Long time Turbo Tax user. I am hooked on this and can't imagine doing taxes without a super tool like Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: coy last year's info, set you through each item
What's not so great: not all info transfers to State return

This is agony and getting worse each year . . . when can we go to a simple system, like a flat tax?? Thank goodness for a good program like TT to help out with it!!
What's great about it: Very thorough, quick calculations.
What's not so great: Laborious process, but getting better each year.

Just one thing

On the Cons side: I have a W-2 as a statutory employee and have schedule C expenses. The program is not clear in entering this information and throws an error code about the schedule C not belonging properly to the W-2. Second or third year for this issue.
Otherwise ... TurboTax is magnificent!
What's great about it: Hard to miss anything.
What's not so great: W-2 for statutory employee with schedule C
