Three decades plus using Turbo Tax--it's great

Excellent experience again in 2016 as it was when I first used it in late 80's.
What's great about it: Easy, asks all the questions, gives all the answers
What's not so great: Turbo Tax doesn't write their own check for the tax due. :-)

Fed was good; bug in state

Speed through the Federal and MD state return. Error generating a form on my MI state return. Tried calling the help line, and got a bogus answer, "try deleting and reinstalling."
What's great about it: Love the Q&A approach, ensuring that all items are covered

Turbo Tax has been a friend for years!

It seems like Turbo Tax goes to great lengths to accommodate the needs of individual customers. I believe that many, like myself, come to the task with high anxiety and negative attitudes. Often, like myself, they've waited till the last minute and if it is their first time using Turbo Tax, they are greatly relieved to find out how quickly they can enter their information and then see the calculations. I always opt for the "guide me through it" approach because it helps ensure that I don't forget anything and I know that it will be done right the first time. Also, I always learn something. Turbo tax is about choices and gentle but highly effective guidance.
What's great about it: Solidly based on the tax code.
What's not so great: I spent time looking for back buttons when I needed to x out.

Overall, very good value

It is great that the software imports data from last year's return. How about applying that same capability to related returns in the same year? Every year, I have to manually transfer entries from my kids returns to my return. If I could import the values, there would be far fewer opportunities for error.
What's great about it: Walks user through necessary steps
What's not so great: Integration between returns

I really like this program and have used it almost every year, missing 2-3 when it sold out and I procrastinated too long.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: hard to find some of the more odd documents for medial bills
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
