How to print a single form?
on April 10, 2016

Its a good program and mostly easy to use, but confusing when you go back if for example you file the federal and then go back in later to file the state. Also i needed to reprint just a single form and there was no way to do it. Going into the forms area and finding the page I needed, if i went to menu and print it wanted to print the entire return again. How do i get it to print just the form i'm on?
What's great about it: mostly easy to use
What's not so great: couldn't figure out how to print a single form. When viewing a form, Print in the menu prints the whole return.

You should not have to purchase Turbo Tax Premier if you do not amortize your rental property. I really am thinking of just paying someone next year.
What's great about it: Easy
What's not so great: Principal Payments

Easy and straightforward as usual

Worth the price just to keep up with depreciation schedules and 1099 importation from financial institutions.
I also like that Intuit is NOT diddling with the format and "feel" of TurboTax as was once done. It is easier when the software has a familiar look and feel. As usual, the e-file saves time and aggravation.
What's great about it: Fixed 2015 problem with use of DeLuxe for business use.
What's not so great: None, really

turbo tax 2015 review

It gets more confusing & labor intensive then 2014's return. When asked how I wanted to pay what I owed, I selected that I wanted to have them debit it from my bank acct. & filled out rhe required bank info only to have it come back & not accept the choice but tell me to use my credit card to proceed with the process!. When Intuit window came it would accept my last year's logon info forcing me to request & establish a new intuit login & password which was confusing & a pain in the butt!!
What's great about it: step by step approach
What's not so great: so much more complex & some times confusing then last years turbo

Thank Goodness for the year to year carryovers

I have used Turbo Tax for years, and will continue to do so. The fact that it keeps track of my year-to-year activities, including depreciation, makes the business part so easy versus trying to keep track myself. The end product is a clean appearing document that can be saved for the future. In the past it actually took three days, due to records keeping and gathering to do taxes. This time, 1.5 days. A great improvement.
What's great about it: The versatility of the program coupled with the records keeping from previous years
What's not so great: The back button to get somewhere.... too bad there isn't a slider to move forward and backward quicker

Overall very good. Other than my "con" recommendation, need to improve the ease of returning to a specific section. Had difficulty with several of these.
What's great about it: Covers topics in a simple manner.
What's not so great: Need to add each charity individually. Need to relate the preceding year's items.

Easy as Pie

I am a AARP volunteer for the IRS's VITA/TCE tax counseling program. I constantly refer to IRS Pub17, 1040 Instructions, and similar documents to help clients complete their tax returns (without cost to them).
I do not need to refer to any of the IRS reference material to complete and e-file my tax returns using TurboTax Deluxe.
It's easy as pie.
What's great about it: Reference material not needed
What's not so great: Steep charge for state e-filing
