Generally very good - particularly strong import from outside institutions, Not easy to report interest income without 1099 and the foreign tax credit process is a little buggy. Thank you

It's Everything I Hoped For

I've used Turbo Tax for years and I've yet to be disappointed. The questions are easy to understand and very thorough. I am confident they didn't let me forget anything!
I used it to estimate the value of the items I had donated. A number of the things I donated were not listed , and I found entering my own estimates of their value to be rather tedious. Other than that, my 2015 experience was excellent.

What's great about it: Very detailed--but easy-to-follow-- questions.
What's not so great: Rather tedious to enter non-cash donations.

New credits!

My investment forms downloaded this year.
I couldn't believe how easy it was. And I also could not believe the state refund amount, but it was correct!

What's great about it: Senior and retirement credits I didn't know existed!
What's not so great: Extra $ for State return E-file
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Successful and simplified filing

I've used TurboTax for many years, enjoying the consistency and ability to track from year to year. It doesn't get much easier than this.
What's great about it: Consistenty simplifies Federal and State tax filings
What's not so great: Only as reliable as the information you put in.

Very frustrating

Overall, it was ok. However, when we got to dealing with our state returns (we file in 2 separate states), it was extremely confusing. It looked like our full income was being taxed in one state, when only one income should have been taxed there. The interface was very confusing - it was only after spending about 20 minutes trying to figure out why our full income was being taxed that we realized that there was an "income factor" number that represented what percentage of our income was being included. Very counter-intuitive. It was so much easier last year.
What's great about it: I suppose it worked in the end
What's not so great: The state part was very confusing
