I have been using Turbo Tax for years. For the 2015 federal return and one state return the cost was too much. I'm a CPA so considering completing my 2016 returns by not using Turbo Tax
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: To expensive

I resent the fact that I could not file this return until I filled out this review. Change that and the program is fine.

Made my filing stress free
on April 10, 2016

I used to file with paper in the past. Since I started trying Turbo-Tax and I can't imagine how much I was missing. Filing was stress free by comparison, help was present through the whole process. It did make me understand few things better. Most importantly it made the whole day shore of preparing taxes a much easier task in few hours time if all documents are present. I recommend Turbo-Tax to everyone I talk with
What's great about it: easy to use, a lot of help windows to educate, very thorough
What's not so great: I don't see one at this time

Part Year State Retuns
on April 10, 2016

I had to file part resident returns for GA and VA. I paid for the extra state return, and then I found out that both returns were useless for this purpose. The numbers that flowed to the forms appeared different than what I expected. I couldn't drill into those # to see where they were coming from or what made them up. I also found that when I needed to check a box, I couldn't perform that task at the place I saw where it needed to be checked. I also couldn't find in the review process where that information should have been originally entered. Both state returns were totally useless. I ended up preparing the returns by hand.
What's great about it: Good questions and review.
What's not so great: Anything out of the ordinary (ie: filing part resident state returns) is useless.
Pros: I moved

same bugs as last year
on April 10, 2016

interface still has 10 year old issues, eg the continue button is on the right side of the screen and the boxes on the left takes forever to enter charitable contributions; has to be a faster way choice for printing return to file are horribly confusing; really bad
does it all for me , exxcept for all those choices on AMT - do i need to adjust capital gains for AMT ? who knows ?
What's great about it: step by step does it all except amt
What's not so great: clunky interface, ads, filing menu is terrible
