EASY TO WALK THRU AND CATCH ALL ENTRIES OF PREVIOUS YEAR.
PROGRAM DID LOCK UP DURING THE ENTRY OF 1099-DIV. i HADE TO REBOOT THE COMPUTER SEVERAL TIME. SAVED TO FILING AND CONNINUTED WITHOUT PROBLEMS. MY COMPUTER NEVER LOCK UP , WINDOW 7, NEXT YEAR I WILL USE MY NEW COMPUTER WITH WINDOWS 10.
What's great about it: EASY TO USE.
What's not so great: LOCK UP DURING 1099-DIV ENTRY OF AMOUNTS

did not like the 2015 turbotax

Did not like this version from previous years. Could not go back and change things easily. For some reason, it was not as user friendly as in previous years. I have been using this product for over 20 years. Had warning signs on final hard copy. I thought that the program said everything was ok. Made me doubt myself. kept saying that I had to file a second state tax return when I only worked in one state but lived in another state. Could not delete the 2nd state file causing problems with printing and filing.
What's great about it: liked the instant calculations
What's not so great: kept getting an error when trying to print final hard copy, kept saying that I had to file 2nd state return

TurboTax - Taxes made easy

I've been using Turbo Tax for as long as I can remember and year after year it has just gotten better. Allows me to keep an electronic copy of each years returns making it very easy to go back and look up information. I love the way it automatically inputs information from past returns and from W2 Forms. I recommend it to all my friends.
What's great about it: Automatically inputs needed information from past tax forms saving me the trouble of going back and looking it up.
What's not so great: None

Easy to use, esp. if used in prior years

Was generally happy. My only qualm is that the print/save button at the end has been simplified too much! It used to list all forms and allow the user to select various detail levels to create PDFs for. Now this is gone (but still available, thankfully, through a hidden File -> Print button). I hope they will bring back the useful functionality.
What's great about it: Covers many income and deduction types
What's not so great: Print/save function no longer allows saying which forms to print

Super Easy

TurboTax is super easy to use. Why pay someone else to do your taxes when you can do them quickly and easily at home?
What's great about it: It was just plug in the numbers, and "boom" you are done!
What's not so great: Extra fee to file state and charge to take out of refund

So easy to use, and I really just have to click a few items to finalize. I love that it calculates the best deductions for me automatically. I feel very comfortable using this software, and have done so for many years now.

Taking a Step Backwards

btw..tell me I am paying an e-filing fee for states prior to entering...expect that from a used car salesman not intuit
What's great about it: Still comprehensive
What's not so great: less intuitive finding how numbers were calculated/easy comparisons to last year's entries
