The Turbo Tax program made it easy to complete my taxes without too many issues.
What's great about it: most questions were straightforward, not complicated to understand
What's not so great: screens have to be scrolled on all the time.

This was easy. I did my Tax return in less than twenty minutes. It's great when you see those Tax returns adding up. Regardless of the situation you can count on it being right. Thanks Turbo Tax Team for doing it right. I look forward to next year’s Tax return with, Turbo Tax!

I think Turbo Tax could offer something that was a little more advanced for those that are familiar with tax return preparation. Charitable contributions could be inputted on a list versus the individual sheets it now requires. The capital gains and losses could also be simplified. Maybe a "check the box" situation could take you to the advanced version.

Comparison with last year

It would be helpful to include a comparison and explanation to previous year's return. I owed much more tax this year, but I have no idea why. Did tax rates go up? Did the rules change? An explanation why taxes change by, say, more than $1,000 from the previous year would be great.

Made the impossible into doable!

The tax laws are so convoluted that I only can handled them without a professional because of TurboTax. I do feel that the Step-by-Step approach of Turbo Tax reminds me of what I may forget to get to a human professional. Thanks.
What's great about it: Step by Step is key for me.
What's not so great: CT state tax much clearer on drsct website.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
