I learned a long time ago how easy it is to use Turbo tax and for the average tax situations it is the best option
What's great about it: easy to use , very easy to use
What's not so great: would like to see the actual time of preparation for review

Some good stuff, some annoyung

The data required to enter a second state ( especially for NJ) is very time consuming as it requires a lot of data, especially values required for IRA data, which is not readily available; such as the total value of ALL IRAs held,
Using the payment screen is annoying as the "TT has a problem, try again."messge occurs 90% of the time and requires re- entry of some data and re-saving the file. Perhaps investment in additional servers is required.
What's great about it: The ability to print tax return for private files.
What's not so great: The prompts are some times confusing

I thought it was easier to follow and use this year. Didn't take me as long to finish my taxes as in normal years.
What's great about it: Easy to use
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

efficient tax prep

Turbo tax makes tax prep fairly easy and efficient. Once you've done your taxes with this product, it easily imports prior year info. One thing I wish it could do is tell me quickly how much of a tax benefit I could get if I opened an IRA. Some type of little app that would give you that info as you're preparing might inspire some additional retirement savings. Otherwise, it's my go to tax prep product each year.

Overall a great software package for getting the tax burden done. And if used in prior years saves a ton of date entry time.
What's great about it: Pushed the buttons just like the experts on TV.
What's not so great: Some trouble with line 10 on adding my W2. Return would not e-file without an amount there.
