I loved to just enter my info based on questions asked, and then it was done. This can easily be done in a few hours if you have all your documents ready.
What's great about it: just answer the detailed questions and your are done

I have used Turbo Tax for several years. The one year I used a "free" tax preparation from someone else I ended up having to file an amended return! Stick with TT!
What's great about it: Propagation of prior tax returns, accurate computations, coverage of vital information

Saved My Time

I have used Turbo Tax for a number of years. I trust their application and like the added feature of the Audit Defense. I was audited once before I started using Turbo Tax, not fun. I like the deduction details, they take the guess work out of my deductions to the local charities.
What's great about it: Easy to read. Easy to follow. Complete directions
What's not so great: State refund typed incorrectly $43.00 or $13.00

2015 Frustration

Tried 6 times to e-file, repeatedly received IND-031-02 rejection notice on Fed, and thus State e-filing was also rejected. Tried the steps suggested to get 2015 E-File Pin number(s) from IRS per a web search for how other TurboTax users dealt with this problem, and IRS folks repeatedly told me that we did NOT need pin numbers but only our 2014 AGI to file. In fact, IRS told me over and over (with more heat at each call) that they do not have access to our 2014 E-File PIN -- even though I read from their web information that they provide a new pin every year so there was no need to memorize or save the number for future use. Have verified the 2014 AGI but our e-filing continues to be rejected. Have never had difficulty with using Turbo-Tax in the past. Not sure how I feel about using it again next year given this much trouble with e-filing.
What's great about it: TurboTax walks you through the steps, leaves you feeling like nothing has been missed.
What's not so great: Had entries that this year flagged a need to update to a premier edition; had difficulty e-filing.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax 2016

I have used Turbo tax for the past several years and always found it to be an excellent experience. This year however, I experienced a number of problems that made the process very frustrating. Turbo Tax could not down load my W2 information. I have worked at the same place for 10 years- never had this problem in the past. Tur bo Tax loaded extremely slowly. Turbo Tax made it difficult to locate and input one of my consistant deductions. Overall, the product was about 50% as useful as it has been in the past.
What's great about it: Filing on line
What's not so great: Problems with transfer of personal data
