Pay procedures and help is very bad.

I remember when I could call you and someone was on the other end of the line with help. What ever happen to that company.
What's great about it: I use it because I am use to it.
What's not so great: Next year I will try another return type and really see the difference.

Instead of a check box "I have more boxes on my form" when entering EE Bond interest to show that the interest is EE bond interest, add a box that says interest is EE bond interest.
What's great about it: Overall very good
What's not so great: Identifying EE bond interest should be easier. See review comment.

Quick, accurate, thorough

I use TurboTax every year, because I trust their process and their knowledge of tax law. All aspects of the tax return process are well thought out and have stood the test of time.
What's great about it: Very thorough data collection and easy to understand instruction
What's not so great: Fee for e-filing state return too expensive

it's like having a professional Certified Public Accountant by your side, it's easy to use, Guided or direct entry, it doesn't matter, answer on questions right on your finger tips, you'll know exactly what's deductible or not, and which are considered income.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: no guide on gambling losses.

Generally, turbotax works well like turbotax does. Hated the upgrade experience (i don't think i've had any other software fail an upgrade on my Mac); it failed and won't let you continue work until you fix the failed upgrade. second year in a row for that. worked thru customer support and fixed it.
What's great about it: smooth, happy with refund
What's not so great: ghastly update experience
