Been a while since I used Turbo Tax although changed a lot, it went pretty well. I had some problems entering the K-1 info. Hope I got it right.

Copy Paste Needed

Every year, I complain about this. We manage our random generated 20 character passwords in a secure tool. And it works perfectly for everything we ever do, except TurboTax!!!
Once a year, I have to meticulously type in each character of each import, and even ItsDeductible into TT, and grumble about it.
Please undo whatever block you have on pasting into the fields!

What's great about it: Straightforward tax entry
What's not so great: Today's world, passwords must be long and complex. Need copy/paste.

Frustrated in TX

For 95+% of my return TT works great and is easy to use. But I had a K-1 1065 with foreign transactions which TT did not handle correctly and consumed massive amounts of my time to resolve. I had to dig through volumes of IRS instructions to determine that TT was trying to create tax forms that I did not want or need and provided no way to enter the data as the IRS form 1116 instructions allowed. Very frustrating. TT needs to ask a couple more qualifying questions to appropriately account for the data.
What's great about it: Easy to use for standard items and eFile is great
What's not so great: Not so easy if non-standard tax situations. If a mistaken entry is made then corrected TT can creates unnecessary forms

What's great about it: Easy to do. Just have your info at hand and answer the questions
What's not so great: Could be better notification when everything is done and filed
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Doing our taxes with TurboTax

I have used TurboTax since 1997 with very good results. It is very easy to use and the important information is kept from year to year. My only break was in 2013 and 2014 when I had my own business and had to file business taxes also.
TurboTax does this also but I was chicken. In retrospect, the CPA that did my business taxes messed them up and I had to pay thousands extra and penalties. Should have use TurboTax.

A Great Experience As Usual

What is the very best about Turbo Tax is if you save everything to your computer, you simply click to begin and Turbo Tax enters all your general information from the PDF file. Makes tax time a breeze. It is also very nice that it asks you all the questions and brings up deductions that even the tax prepare people miss. If nothing else it is a good check tool for your prepare person.
What's great about it: none
What's not so great: Fast and easy especially after entering the information

2015 returns

When I say quick and pretty easy, I mean I can access most of info I need for turbo-tax 1040 either on-line or from tips from turbo-tax.
I don't know why tubo-tax only transferred some of 2014 info. to 2015 return. This never happened in the last 9 years I used it.

What's great about it: Still quick and pretty easy.
What's not so great: Not descriptive enough as to WHY some info. is needed. Did not transfer all of last years info to this year.
