2015 TurboTax Experience

I realize that it takes time for an individual to use the software to go through all the categories and questions to calculate the tax owed or returned. For the past two years, the standard deduction calculated gave me less taxes to pay than the 1040 showed using the software. Yes, without going through the questions, one would not know which was better.
What's great about it: All importanat categories of tax documents covered in detail
What's not so great: Took 10 hours using Delux 2015 to complete 1040, but standard decuction was much better

E filing

Might consider splitting e filing of the Federal and State returns. Working through the State was confusing at times. Also took awhile to get IRS pin

Turbo Tax is easy to use and is always thoroughly tested for accuracy. I have used Turbo Tax for over 20 years and have always had a great experience.
What's great about it: Accurate and easy to use
What's not so great: Big Government, but that's not your fault

What's great about it: Generally easy to navigate. Good help
What's not so great: Found it very difficult to view completed forms prior to sending. The help was not useful, finally found in menu bar.

Love Turbo Tax

I've used Turbo Tax for 7 years now and every year they improve their product and make it even easier than the year before, I do my own taxes in my own time, in the comfort of my own office with confidence that I have done them correctly and will be receiving every possible deduction I am eligible for, Love the convenience and confidence Turbo Tax provides.
What's great about it: feels fool proof. guides you every step of the way
What's not so great: None- love it
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What's not so great: A little more cumbersome this year - banks are promoting Turbo- what's the cost?
