states wont file

i have tried multiple times with multiple payment methods to file my state taxes and it fails every time. TurboTax simply states that it didn't go thru and to try again. Why can you not tell me WHY it didn't go thru and What to do differently to get it to go thru and HOW to do that? if you're going to be this unhelpful I will use other methods next year

TurboTax for Me

I've used TurboTax for several years and have consistently found that it is easy to navigate--if a bit boring--and produces forms that are readily accepted by the IRS. I did have some minor problems trying to figure out how to print a 1040 for review before sending it off.
What's great about it: Detailed, easy to navigate, readily accepted by IRS
What's not so great: Some problems trying to print a 1040 review prior to emailing

What's great about it: Step by Step was clear and easy to use
What's not so great: Not all divisions of a major financial firm are accessible.

Love the program overall. Think it could be better catching inconsistencies in advance payments for states -- if one is different from the other three, it should prompt to make sure it's correct

We have filed several years using TurboTax and the experience becomes less stressful each year.

Good Filing, TurboTax

It's a long process, but pretty well defined. Following the instructions is quite easy. Time consuming, but worth every cent of the cost. The program was as good this year as it has been at least for the last 15 years or so!
What's great about it: Intuit lays it all out for you with including added information you may need or want to have.
What's not so great: No place to list charitable deductions from IRA. Free state filing would be nice.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
