Thank you for making what I consider a stressful job, much easier to understand. You give me the confidence to do my own taxes finally!
What's great about it: Walks you through every step and explains everything
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy to use...

On the Pro side... the program was easy to use.
On the Con side... my state return showed I had a Federal long term capital gain. I had not idea what that was. There was no explanation provided as to where it came from or why it was there, so I had to trust the program and go on to the next step.
Also, there needs to be an electronic payment option for the Arkansas state return. We owed state taxes this year. I would like to see an option to pay with a debit or credit card (and not be charged extra for it!).

Generally very good. Was disappointed when I found out I had to pay for my state return filing, was under the impression it was free also.

Overall it's OK. Seems much more complicated that prior (have used TTax for the 9th year.
Many explanations are not helpful and full of tax-technical language.
I;ll probably pay my money and slog through 2016.

What's great about it: Eventually, I go through it
What's not so great: Not intuitive. Lots of empty spaces in many pages requiring lots of mouse work and 'turning' pages

Love TurboTax. Used CPA for 10 years, will never go back to using CPA... TurboTax is great!

Reliable product every year

Used Turbo Tax for many years. Gets all the usual elements done easily, and can get the more complicated (like allocating state tax exempt portion of certain "tax-free" mutual funds for state taxes) accomplished. Being able to download those intricate brokerage/mutual fund tax information files is wonderful.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate between screens and forms

slow tax program

Every time the program went to calculate a result, it would lock up and had to reboot program. Forms had to be brought up manually from the forms search list. I've used turbo tax for many years without a single problem. I am very disappointed and will probably look to a different software solution next year.
What's great about it: None
What's not so great: Locked up constantly, had to bring up individual forms manually
