More confusing than other years

Difficult to go back and locate the specific information you were looking for.
What's great about it: It was readable
What's not so great: Much more difficult to follow than previous years. Hard to locate specifics.

Easy to use and efile

My biggest nuisance is that the forms are so stupidly complex, and TurboTax simplifies the completion of the return. That's a huge timesaver.
Being an accountant, I don't know how someone who knows nothing about taxes and might have something just a bit out of the ordinary would go about knowing how to handle things. Although the help menus are very good, I was helping my friend with her taxes and she was baffled at some of the questions, and even the answers that popped up.

What's great about it: Easy to enter information

Unexpected changes

At this point confused. The system said it couldn't file our City of Grand Rapids taxes and directed us to where we could get forms to do it ourselves. Then when I thought I was printing the Federal return, it printed the City taxes showing I owed $425.00 - I've never had to pay city taxes before - this looks wrong - now I don't know which end is up - feeling like Turbo Tax might be history for me.
What's great about it: As usual Turbo Tax is generally easy to use
What's not so great: Really disappointed in not being able to file city form

2015 Taxes

I have used Turbox Tax for many years with no problems, easy to use and great support. This year was a different case, the filing instructions were unclear and to pay the state filing fees with a credit card was impossible I ended up printing it and mailing the return. I have always given TurboTax 5 star rating but i cant this year. I will continue using the product everyone has problems and i am sure they will correct these issues next year.
What's great about it: Informations rollsover year to year, easy to use if you have a refund
What's not so great: Filing is difficult, credit card use is difficult, unclear instructions,poor support

Complex made Simple

If you are looking for a tax preparation software package that can handle almost any tax situation, this one is it. With twins in college and the complexities of the tax code, I had all of my issues handled without having to review any IRS documents. My refund was maximized, (I didn't know I could get money back by paying college tuition), and the review made me confident that my return was not likely to get audited. No more paper and pencil for me. I will be a Turbo Tax user for as long as they put out the product.
What's great about it: Covered all of my tax questions

Been using Turbo Tax since "three laptops ago".
Year after year, I get the results I expect. Not always a refund, but satisfying enough to have worry-free slumberful nightly rests.

What's not so great: Sometimes clarifications are too technical.
