more services for the money

free intuit solutions like quicken seems to only be limited and nothing new for repeat customers
automatic internet price for repeat customers doesnt feel competitive to buying at say a wholesale club each year
What's not so great: limited free state taxes; fee per too high for a digital submission; postal stamp better option for a family of tax retu

Quick and easy tax filing

I have a very straight forward return with no complex investments or deductions so have always done my own taxes and Turbo Tax provides me with a quick and easy method for filling out and filing both my federal and state income taxes.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Helpful information when necessary

Better than last year

This year's version was much better than last year. Last year was an anomaly. I had lots of problems with the downloads. This year back on track.

A solid product

I find the program very useful and having the ability to file federal via efile is wonderful. Wish that we could do state via efile without a charge.
The program handled the odd situations we had this year, including an inheritance, move and child who had income in another state. Very happy with it

What's great about it: Step by Step method is helpful, nice that this year's Deluex version included more forms than last year.

Last minute delay?

++++ I submitted all requested information to Turbotax from our forms. A relatively pain free data entry process.
---- After supplying data for each set of forms (Federal & State) the software checked for errors and found none.
During the e-filing process each of the first 4 steps were followed successfully. I pressed the continue button to e-file submit the Federal forms and was presented with a delay.
It seems that Turbotax needed box 16 (actually16-2) to be filled in from a W-2. I filled in the value from box 16 - there is no box 16-2 on that W-2. I pressed continue to e-file (again) and it was successful. Why didn't the software catch this omission earlier?

Child Credit & Payment Information

Child care credit had to be deleted and and added again and not updated due to reloading of error message at end of return process. Email password for payment on our end was EXTREAMLY difficult and we could not reset password. Had to use another email address. Dreading if we forget password reset question next year! Could there be 3 questions next time instead of just one?
