Turbo tax is easy to use. I've been filing taxes for my family for many years. the one think I would change is how often you you need to update turbo tax. every time you log on must update the software. Do we need to purchase the software every year or can we update the software from the previous year.

I have used for 8 consecutive years. Though our situation as changed, TT Deluxe has handled every issue. And I really like the Audit Defense standing behind our return and the way it promises to intercede on our behalf through any audit issues.
What's great about it: Lays out an orderly reminder to include "stuff" from my tax folder.
What's not so great: I still have to key in data--pretty sure Tax Guys already know most.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Done Fast Again!

Everything I can imagine is attended to, entries are quick and easy to return to if needed. Turbo tax gets better each year. Explanations of entries and the law are efficient and easily accessible. It's the complete tax prep package and it is easy to complete.
What's great about it: Fast and easy to complete and complete is the key word.
What's not so great: Cant think of anything

2016 Taxes

By and large excellent tool for doing taxes. Being new to retirement there were not enough answers/instructions for areas new to me this year. Some instructions made it difficult to know if I could skip items or not, i.e. Ohio School District tax. I answered in the negative on the first screen, but at the end an error message wanted me to complete a form that didn't pertain to me at all.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate and accurate calculations
What's not so great: Some verbage and instructions were confusing. Created forms I didn't need even though answers showed form didn't apply

Will likely continue to use.
