Turbo indeed!

The guiding system makes it so easy anyone could do it. The only thing I wish it did was somehow automatically collect all my forms throughout the year and fill in the boxes on its own! That may happen eventually, and if so, I hope they remember who offered up the idea and throw a little compensation my way.

Easy As Pie

This is about my tenth year of using Turbo Tax. At last, I have confidence in the entire procedure, and it now takes me about 1/4 the time I used to spend deciphering the Federal Instruction book. Love Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Straight forward with clear explanations of knotty procedures
What's not so great: Takes a few filings to become totally comfortable with the order in which items are entered

It Works and It's Thorough

Have used TurboTax for about 3 years now. Prior to that it was 12+ years with the TaxWise software used by Tax-Aide and something else before that for a number of years.
TurboTax is slower than the TaxWise software but it doesn't require the training that TaxWise did. If you can read and follow simple instructions, almost all tax returns are relatively easy to do with TurboTax. And the free e-filing of the federal return is a nice feature.
What's great about it: Covers all the essential information. Easy to use.
What's not so great: Nothing serious.

Would love a Ubuntu Linux version maybe next year can have a windows and Ubuntu version on same disk.

Simple and thorough

Was a little confused about a retirement roll over but it was straightened out by the end. Overall it is very easy to use and I love how it rolls over with the info year to year.
What's great about it: Year to year I know I can trust Turbo Tax
What's not so great: Few spots had me a little nervous
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
