Couldn't and Wouldn't Do Taxes Without T.T.

I have used Turbo Tax software to do my taxes for the last 15 years. Depending on my financial situation, I have used many different versions of Turbo Tax to file my returns. Turbo Tax is an incredibly user friendly guide to help you navigate the often confusing and complicated waters of tax law. I recommend Turbo Tax to everyone and I certainly wouldn't do my taxes without it.
What's great about it: Easy and helpful guide through tough topics
What's not so great: None that come to mind

Easy to use. Each section is walked through question by question. You have the option of reviewing or skipping sections. Having used it on PC and Mac, the Mac version does not have all the enhancements that PC or online version does. For example, you can download from more institutions online or PC than on Mac. The other problem I encountered was that it does not ask about IRA conversions when you initially go through IRA entries (it asks about recharacterizations and rollovers, but not conversions). You have to go back through the section again to find the place to put it. All in all, it did what I needed it to do.
What's great about it: Walks you through most things step by step
What's not so great: Does not ask about IRA conversions. Mac version does not have all the enhancements that PC version does.

turbotax prompts me through my yearly deductions so I review everything from insurance to drivers license. it saves me lots of stress.

Much Harder This Year

Don't know if it was my tax situation, or that the tax laws are just getting more complicated, but filling out and submitting my tax returns this year was very hard. I gave up on trying to correct errors in some of my K-1 forms, even when the amounts where zero. As a result of having returns with errors I could not submit them electronically, but didn't discover this until AFTER I had paid Intuit to electronically file my state return.
What's great about it: Still like the way you enter your tax information, and also have the option to look at specific forms.
What's not so great: Error messages not helpful at all.

A little delay this year

It was easy to use and quick. But it rejected twice. I didn't get a correct answer when resubmitting second time. This time, IRS guidance helped to enter what would work for return to not be rejected. Hope it works this time.
What's great about it: Easy guided tour
What's not so great: Couldnt easily resolve efiling issue
