Help needs help

Overall its very good but it has some annoying characteristics:
1. It erases information that is correct when you have to go back and change a previous entry. In general its very hard to edit entries. I spent too much time re-entering previously entered data -- sometimes just to check a previous entry.
2. In the review process, it lists actual tax forms, lines, and boxes to which there is no direct access -- it should take you back to the point in Turbo tax where the additional or wrong entry needs to be added or fixed.
3. Help is no help -- why not have an expert actually give an accurate and helpful answer to these legitimate questions?

Best software tool available

Turbo Tax is a tool that my family has used for several years and is without fail, the best software and service for the money. It is close to an entirely intuitive product in how it brings forward previous return's information and step-by-step guide.
What's great about it: Ease of use, Inexpensive for the product you receive
What's not so great: None

Made life easy

First time using it and I love it.
What's great about it: Held my hand the entire way
What's not so great: Displayed imputed W2 and automatic W2 seperately, but I figured it out quickly, so not a big deal.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I question the need for so much personal information such as drivers' license information, etc.
What's great about it: appears to be comprehensive but broken down into convenient bites
What's not so great: one or two sections do not give adequate explanations

I should have rated it as 4 and a half star. The reason is, when I file MN state return, at some point, I was asked to calculate the Federal Adjustments in Schedule M1NC. I had to go back to check some numbers in my 1040 form, and read the instruction. Actually it should be easy for Turbo Tax to give a step by step guide since all number are already in the file. I went to help line and found that there were similar questions asked by users, but no answer. I submitted the questions, too, and no answer. Thus I have to spend more time to read the instruction and find the answers.

As I stated above, the taxpayer doesn't need to be a rocked scientist to follow your directions. The directions are plain, and clear using a "conversation" format. I particularly like the "TABBED" sections on top of the pages, that allows the taxpayer to navigate easily.
What's great about it: A taxpayer doesn't need to be a rocket scientist to follow your directions.
What's not so great: I had to take 3 trips correcting errors or omissions that the system forgot asking the first trip.

Quick and Easy

Been using Turbo Tax for years. Cheaper and easier than going to a Tax Service. One thing I miss was on the first time I used Turbo Tax and that was I was asked for a nickname for each person.
What's great about it: Takes you by the hand if you need to.
What's not so great: Sometimes hard to go back and edit something.
