Tax Prep for dum....

This is my eighth year with TurboTax. Keeps getting better if only the Feds would do the same!
What's great about it: Very thorough
What's not so great: ???
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax Review

Turbo Tax tries to make you upgrade version to enter a minor 1099-k like you get if you drive for Uber for month. It can be done with the Deluxe version but is not easy.
What's great about it: Mostly pretty easy to use
What's not so great: Diffiuclt to add 1099-K infromation in deluxe version

Never a dull Moment

This becomes a family experience every year we do our taxes. Turbo Tax is a great help and I think we finally understand what is required and what to keep. They have kept us up with the changes to tax law. I get better service than when I had an accountant do my taxes. I really don't like the fees to efile and have the funds deposited into my account. Not sure that is a Turbo Tax issue or not.
What's great about it: The program worked well, it was tax law and understanding what the government wanted do to changes in our lives last yr
What's not so great: It was dificult to download the its deductable, once we figured it out it was great

Problem efile

I have used TurboTax for a number of years, and had no problem with it this year until I tried to pay with my credit card to file my state return. The instruction for obtaining assistance was written in such fine print that I needed a magnifying glass to read it, and then only after I spoke with live person in customer service. Senior citizens should not have to strain to read the instructions; print should be at least 10-12 pt characters for ease of reading. Your customer service representative (Yumee) provided exceptional customer service and she immediately returned my call once someone referred my concerns to her with my phone number. She was very understanding and courteous and what I would consider an asset to your organization in the way she interacts with your clients.
What's great about it: Tech aspects of TurboTax are exceptional, along with rational and explanations.
What's not so great: Difficulty with trying to reach a live person to resolve issues; the automated system needs improvement.
