multiple state issues

Federal and Wisconsin taxes along with the process was OK. As soon as I paid and downloaded the 2nd state (Michigan) there were numerous problems. Ending up going through the forms manually and then towards the end the software started up in "auto" and proceeded to scramble a lot of manual work. Ended up repeating some portions at least 3 times. Very poor integration when splitting income between two states. Had I known I would have done the 2nd state totally independent of this software. The extra charge for the 2nd state was definitely not worth it.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

So Simple, So Accurate

Excellent, unless you have problems

If you have standard, even standard complicated, taxes, then this software will do all the calculations for you, fill in the forms, and save you time and effort.
But if at the end of the process, Turbotax thinks you have an error, it gives only the sketchiest description of what it thinks that error is (e.g. the number on this line of this form or worksheet shouldn't be less than zero) and won't tell you why that's an error or how to fix it. That's a big problem. Worst of all, it prevents you from filing unless you fix it.
What's great about it: User-friendly step-by-step process.
What's not so great: Poor "Review" functionality leaves you stuck

Annual taxes

Great product saves me money, walks you through each section, re- verify each input then again re-verify at the ending of each federal and state sections. I've been using TurboTax for the past eight years now and definitely will use it next year. The greatest thing about TurboTax is that you could shut down your computer for the day or looking for your missing information at home or work place.
What's great about it: Save $300 each time by using turbotax instead of an accountant.
What's not so great: When will the software ask for your information and input by voice.

The way to go!!

This is the ninth year I have used Turbotax. That should say alot. It uses a simple question and answer format in a very friendly tone. A little humor is thrown in and helps with a dreaded yearly task. See you next yeat Turbotax

This is the 3rd year for using TurboTax instead of an accountant.
Same work for me, gathering data, but over $1,000 cost savings by not going to a CPA to fill in the blanks and submit to the IRS.
No errors and electronic filing = good sleep tonight.
