review 2015 turbo tax

working with 1099-misc was a problem-it kept relegating the misc income to self-employed business, which was the wrong situation.
also, despite paying 2700$ in tax, there was no option for printing 2016 estimated tax forms
What's great about it: still generally easy to use
What's not so great: had more problems this year

What's great about it: Walked me through every step
What's not so great: installing updates in the middle of a return took 10 minutes!

Can't read long description on Form 8949

A 2015 Form 1099-B stock sale that was imported from my Schwab account into TurboTax Deluxe had a very long description of "114.00 MEDTRONIC INC XXXMANDATORY EXCHANGE EFF 01/27/15” (including a lot of extra spaces). When I looked at the 1040 return Form 8949 PDF file, this description in column 1(a) for Box E Long-term transactions was squeezed into the space provided and was not even readable. I had to manually go back and change the description to just "114.00 Medtronics, Inc.". Then I could read the description in the PDF file. Even doing that, the box TurboTax provides for editing the description only showed "00 Medtronics, Inc.". TurboTax should issue a warning if this description is too long. The Home and End key did not move to the beginning or end of this field.
What's not so great: No warning when importing very long descriptions
