Not accurate computations

Would not let me apply any or all of my refund to 2016 taxes. Did not allow me to input figures for computation of estimated taxes. Figured estimate taxes automatically at 110% and would not allow me to change to 100%.

UPDATES CORRUPT FILES FOR MAC USERS

Turbo tax program is traditionally simple and effective. I have used it for years. Very disappointing that for the 2nd year in a row there has been a problem with Turbo Tax. This year after completing my return and saving it, when I went to file Turbo Tax updated its files and the return file was now corrupt. Turbo Taxes solution: Do your return again. Evidently this was a problem for MAC users.
If I wanted to spend twice the amount of time to do my taxes and not pay for turbo tax I would have done them manually.
Thanks for not a whole lot of value Turbo Tax.

Turbo stumbles with Windows 10

Tried 3 days to get the updated downloads and the State download to no avail. Took 1 hour and 4 restarts and changes to msconfig on the computer to enable Turbo Tax to work. Then had to go back in and reset Windows. This is a major flaw according to the Customer Service Rep - who by the way was FANTASTIC! Turbo stumbled here but their support fixed the problem and that is important. Filed taxes on time, but was nervous.
What's great about it: Worked perfectly for the past 15 years
What's not so great: Doesn't work well with Windows 10

2015 Turbo Tax

I find Turbo Tax easy to use with clear instructions and helpful prompts. It relieves me of having to buy a tax book and take hours reading it in preparation for filing. It also allows me to avoid paying a tax prep professional to prepare my uncomplicated return.

I found it confusing about the location where I should enter 1099-Misc. Income there were two locations. Under -Misc Income and also under Business Items. Under Business Items it ask for 1099-Misc information but if I enter here and under the Misc Incom section, I get the income entered TWICE. It may be best to enter 1099-Misc due to Business actives for profit from other ones. However, then where do you enter expenses for Hobby type income which are not done for the major purpose of receiving income

What's not so great: The interplay between the places where you can put in 10990-Misc Income

TURBO TAX STILL THE BEST AFTER MANY YEARS

Turbo Tax should include the Drivers License when putting together documents, as it is needed to efile. Same with anything that could possibly be needed. Also in the area of Dividents, etc., when 1099s are received indicating "various" sale dates, there should be information on how to handle that. Had a lot of trouble working this area out, and had to actually contact a CPA to figure it out. Not Good!
What's great about it: Everything covered thoroughly
What's not so great: Should advise all documents needed to complete so as to avoid chasing around at any point getting additional info
