Federal Very Good/NYcould be better

1. Past suggestion - should show prior year amount on input screens not just summary screens.
2. Should have a "none" choice when inputting tax exempt dividends if not exempt from state of residence as program defaults to home state if you leave it blank. Should not have to select a random state.
3. NYS - should have an input sheet for the state K-1 instead making us try to figure out where to input federal versus state depreciation adjustments and codes. System did not properly calculate inherited pension/ira exclusion, had to override it.

Good System

Once again, I was very pleased with the way TurboTax handles both my Federal and State Income Taxes. I have been using TurboTax for about 9 years now and it does work very well. It took me much, much, longer when I did these on my own.
What's great about it: Easy to follow so that all is covered
What's not so great: Just the payment at the end - I forgot my password for Intuit and it took about 10 minutes before it got straightened ou

I like it. Use to the format. If it is not broke don't fix it. So I plan to continue to use in the future

State return didnt work

Very disappointed that turbo tax has let me down this year. Now I have to print my state return and mail it in the long way. Plus there is no real help on what you need to include if you file by mail. I hope I'm getting this right. No thanks to Turbo tax. This may have been my last year using your services.
What's great about it: I love turbo tax and have used it for 5 years
What's not so great: for some reason I could not e-sign my IL state tax

It is OK except for the annoying inconsistency listed in the cons

What's not so great: Tells me I can not file electronically thren takes me thru a cycle related to electronic filing
