Always so easy!

Have used this program for years now. It is always so easy to do because it prompts me for everything I need to remember.
What's great about it: guides me step by step so I never forget anything
What's not so great: it is still doing the taxes
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax Error in business portion

The system did not allow the period for separating dollars and cents. So $49.95 showed up as an expense of $4,995. That made a difference in income of almost $10,000. Once I put in a figure of $50. The correct amount of income was shown and the SEP was figured out correctly.
What's great about it: Once I corrected the input, everything else fell into place
What's not so great: When I added the additional expense of purchasing Turbo Tax

You can't beat the convenience of using Turbo Tax. I wouldn't have it any other way. I have used it for years. It seems to get easier each year.
What's great about it: Fast, easy, and comprehensive
What's not so great: cost to efile

What's great about it: Best way to do your taxes

hanging in there

I've been a TurboTax user for years, so the unveiling of new features (and tax laws) is always a bit of a party. This time, I finally figured out a screwy error that had been inflating my husband's income for several years. An excellent service tech helped me trace it to some weird worksheet fluke in 2011. So, she was nice and the problem is apparently fixed, but I'm doing 5 years of amended tax returns. Bottom line: TurboTax is the best there is, but it's still a crazy complicated tax system.
What's great about it: TurboTax is still the go-to software. I've been using it for years, and every year, Intuit service comes through.
What's not so great: Make one mistake and you're toast for years!!! Not always your fault, either.

printing frustrations

i have used Turbo Tax in the past very successfully and printed copies with no issues. for the past 3 years I used a tax service and decided to go back to Turbo Tax. Good decision until wanted to print a final copy.
What's great about it: Very easy to input all information
What's not so great: do not have a hard copy of my return
