What's great about it: Guided questions helped alot
What's not so great: Explanations could be better. E.g. Rate at which IRS reduces the value of itemized deductions wasn't at all clear,

What's great about it: Relatively easy to use. Monkey see, Monkey do !
What's not so great: Wouldn't file because it kept asking questions I could not answer.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

2015 Deluxe Turbo Tax

Have used TT as far back as I can remember. Overall, it's great that's why I still use it. If the software developer just take a little extra time to modify the part on entering business assets vs expense that would really save time. There have been many posts and complaints about this specific item. Also, I wish they could make the state e-file more budget friendly.
What's great about it: Easy step by step guide
What's not so great: Unclear & incomplete info & instruction on Asset vs Expense entries

Too Much Typing

Every year I provide the same input - it's never changed!
If you have multiple W2-G forms from a casino you are required to type in all location information in each time. Software should work like it does for Charities - it asks if you have multiple entries and automatically fills in agency information if needed.
What's great about it: Ease of use and understanding
What's not so great: Requirement to type same information multiple times
Pros: I bought or sold investments

What's great about it: Even though I had to enter my tax info manually due to a new computer upgrade,TT still walked me thru it beautifully

Senior Citizen Tim Tax

I have used Turbo Tax for over 10 years and each year, it gets better and much easier to navigate through. It appears to be well designed even for average folks. Why pay top dollars for a tax service when you can use Turbo Tax for much less.
What's great about it: very easy to use and follow
What's not so great: does take time through the questions
