2015 TurboTax Deluxe with State

Because I do not want to deal with tax forms and do not know enough about tax laws, I use Easy Step. One has to be careful because Easy Step will have a way of missing things. This has happened several years in a row. Fortunately I do have some idea of what needs to be entered and I search for the appropriate entry point in Easy Step. I have switched over to forms on occasion, but I have not been able to make changes or add information. Entry of information or change of information somehow is blocked and will not work. One of my investments gives me a Grantor Letter instead of a form. This is a problem because TurboTax will not handle Grantor Letters. TurboTax is much better than nothing, but I wish Easy Step was made more fool proof.
What's great about it: Easy Step is nice because you do not have to deal with tax forms.
What's not so great: Easy Step has a way of missing some very important entries.

Really don't like the current product that well. Continue using it because I have all the previous year data available.
What's great about it: Does routine items well
What's not so great: As it is automated, it gets harder to do specials - like e-file state after federal

User Friendly Turbo

What's great about it: Once begun, it is easy to follow, as promised.
What's not so great: None encountered so far.

Why I use TurboTax

I've used TurboTax for four years and have had results equal to professional CPAs for 70 - 75% lower cost. I have received great refunds on 3 returns and a very small payment due for 1. I will continue to use TurboTax for as long as it is available.
What's great about it: Makes complicated returns easier. Takes far less time than using IRS instructions. Kept me from getting seriously burned
What's not so great: Needed to arrange printed copy in correct sequence.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Confusion w/ state

Filed late on 4/6 and still the state (MN) and federal didn't get it together easily. Some mental distress trying to work through that
What's great about it: Federal went well
What's not so great: State of MN had some weird forms and didn't quite get how to get through it.

I've used Turbo tax for about 14 years

I've not had any major problems. I've used it for 14 years. I've had to do amended returns and with turbo I was able to do it. So far no problems or audit. I only know how to use the computer by trial and error, learning as I go. I am a 76 year old woman. So If I can do it with out any computer training, any one should be able to.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Turbo tax delux don't ask about investment expenses. You have to look for where to put it.
