What's great about it: Easy; intuitive
What's not so great: Couldn't file 1098-C electronically; had to send to IRS via mail

I've been using TurboTax for many years, and it is so easy! Before I used TurboTax, I created a spreadsheet every year, then manually filled out the forms, which took forever!
What's great about it: I like the fact that it carries over last year's information
What's not so great: none

I'd recommend anyone who wants to save tax preparation dollars to use TurboTax.
What's great about it: Nearly everything about it is easy for an idiot to understand and follow.
What's not so great: Since I'm an idiot, I had a difficult time using the "Search" bar.

Quick and Easy

I've used TurboTax for years and find it so easy to use. It walks you through each step like you might experience working with a tax preparer or accountant.
What's great about it: Inexpensive and easy to use!
What's not so great: Can't think of a downside!

Printing Issues

My son had no job and thus no income and no deductions for 2015. However he has significant federal student loans so it is important to have on file with the IRS a record of his status. Turbo Tax would not print anything except the 1 page summary page to mail to the IRS. I had to force the 1040EZ to fill in and print separately. This should not be the case.
What's great about it: Questions for guided method are clear and thorough.
What's not so great: Federal printout for a 0 taxes owed and 0 refund lacked the 1040EZ

This is my 5th or 6th year using Turbo Tax and it has got better every year. I can't even think of going back and trying to do it the old fashion way. It took days even with those new electronic calculators. Now it is a 3 to 4 hour operation with no chance of addition errors plus with the questions you ask, it triggers the mind on deductions you may have missed.
