I llike the Turbo Tax products. I find it very easy for an average person to walk thru the Tax process plugging in their numbers and getting a refund.
What's great about it: TurboTax walks me thru the entire Tax process and makes it easy for you to complete and file your return.
What's not so great: You walk thru alot of categories that don't pertain to you. Taking extra time.

529 Education Account Section Not Clear

I received a 1099-Q for the payments I received from my 529 education savings account. This amount was larger than the amount I paid directly to the university, indicated on Form 1098-T. Turbotax counted the difference as income and calculated tax on it. Instructions for inputting the education expenses not paid directly to the university, for instance, text books and off-campus housing, in a different field were not clear and I had left this uncompleted. It took a call to Turbotax customer service to figure out these other expenses had to be input in a different place, which then made the total receipts from 529 equal total expenditures.

Excellent, Quick, Easy, and no mistakes

Turbo Tax makes it fast and easy to do your taxes, just answer a few simple questions and you've got your taxes done. I love the fact that it files your taxes for you and deposits the refund right into your bank account.
It couldn't be easier.
What's great about it: Fast. It takes all the guess work out of doing your taxes
What's not so great: I didn't have any cons, it's all good
