Quick and Easy!

Will always use Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Federal and two states done and filed within 3 hours!
What's not so great: None!
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Even if I were going to take my information to a CPA, I'd want to see what TurboTax had to say about my personal tax situation. There is always more than one way to handle any one issue and I wouldn't want to take just one person's opinion.
What's great about it: keeps private information in privacy of my own home
What's not so great: Maybe too easy on complicated issues

Not happy

I was initially pleased at transition from 2014 to 2015, but found forced updates on old returns kept me from getting to the info I needed. After the update, I could only open an incomplete return. I searched for the complete return only to find it in PDF. There was a glitch in using the e-file pins. The five and six digit pins were confusing. No distinction between the purpose of each was evident. I called the 866 number only to have the system malfunction at reading my entries. It was clear on my phone what numbers I entered, but the automated system would repeat duplicate numbers that did not show on my phone. I tried to go back and tried to complete the process online only to be told I could not do that. I don't know if I was rejected a second time because it didn't say I'd be informed for two days. Very frustrating!
What's great about it: Process was smoother
What's not so great: e-file and support help did not function properly

Overall, I liked using Turbotax. I did find areas where the questions or explanations should have been clearer. I wish I had noted those areas, but now I forget the specifics. Also, the state return did not provide any explanation of terms, it only used the terms on the state form.
Also, just found out that your nickname field on this survey has too many rules. Failed twice. If you must have format rules on it, please display them up front.
What's great about it: Most of the process was straight forward
What's not so great: Some areas needed more clarity and explanation.

This is my second time using Turbo Tax and I find it so much better and cheaper to use this product. They go through every portion of the return process in detail. All you do is enter the info.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: had an issue with the meaning of Deluxe/State

The same as ever

The price went up substantially from last year, but it is still easy to use and does what I want it to do. I wish we didn't have to pay to e-file the state taxes.

What's not so great: Price went up! Have to pay to e-file state.
