Great Program!

I've been a faithful Intuit TurboTax user for over 20 years.
What's great about it: Makes my complex file prep a no-brainer
What's not so great: Hate the support form for capital gains. I just use the override.

For the most part very easy!

Was very easy to use until the state return check asked for school district code and did not have a link to where to find it. It also did not give the context in which the code was needed. It just said there was an error and to input a code.

I spent a full day trying to find the patch for the updater program, if you know there is an issue here it should be made easy to find on the return
What's great about it: almost everything
What's not so great: updater fix
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Not a great process

Overall, it was okay, but may go another route next year. Some of the issues were not explained well and some answers to my questions were not very informative.
What's great about it: Adequate way to do routine income tax
What's not so great: Not enough information on various issues in the tax return itself.

I love how all you really need to do is answer the questions and you don't have to worry about which forms to use. Your answers will lead the program to the correct forms to complete. If you prefer you can always go directly to the form and enter information there as well. Have been doing my taxes with Turbo for many years and I'm still very satisfied. The only drawback are the processing fees which seem to get higher and higher every year but it's still cheaper than paying a tax professional!
What's great about it: love how all you basically have to do is answer questions!!!!
What's not so great: Your processing fees are too high - I would like to see them reduced.
