Easiest way to file taxes!

This is the fourth year I have used TurboTax. Use it to do all my family returns and never had a bad experience.
What's great about it: Very easy to input information
What's not so great: Only one free state return when you get 5 federal . Also needed more information on the ACA.

simple enough

I used to go to H&R Block and decided it was getting too costly, so I bought the Turbo software at one fifth the cost of having it done and I didn't get a migraine doing it. Maybe I'll do my sons return.
What's great about it: step by step simplicity
What's not so great: 1 form did not elaborate what it was about

Review step - was advised I could not eFile State return and then filing step didn't give me the option to eFile Fed and print State - only had state option to eFile now or later. Had to retrace my steps, pretend I was going to mail in the Fed in order to print the State. Convoluted and not very user friendly.

Good as usual

We've been users of Turbo Tax almost as long as we've been married (since ~ 1980) and I've loved the ease and quality of our returns. We've handled installment sale of land as well as having two children. We've never had an issue and can highly recommend Turbo Tax to anyone who is even relatively new to using a computer. The worst thing about filing our taxes is figuring out where I put all the documents when they came in - but usually they're where I expect them to be. Note: In the details of my family life I put I have kids - I do but they're out of the house and on their own now.
What's great about it: Comprehensive and quick
What's not so great: Some of the changes were a little confusing.

Customer support was excellent !!

I feel that the Turbotax software is intuitive and comprehensive. I like that it ties into my brokerage account and work for W2 details and pulls the financial data that is needed. The customer support is what really helps when you have questions.
What's great about it: Had to ask a tax question and got more than I asked for. It was a very good experience.
What's not so great: Call was mis-handled but got to a very knowledgeable tax consultant after an hour on hold. Really not a problem.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

e-filing has too many hoops to jump through. Make it straight forward. Also found it hard to to get information on applying deductions against profits. Example timber sale income vs stumpage payment to the state.
Will continue to us Turo Tax.
