Frequent crashes

1. The first time the program crashed, I lost my work and could not find the installed version of the program at all and had to start over. After that experience, I saved often, using first File>Save, then File>Save to PDF and then File>Save again. I started doing the third step after the program hung during calculations for Save to PDF. With triple precautions, I did not again lose my work, but the program still both crashed and hung frequently, necessitating re-downloading of the update and re-installing.
The web site promised an update to prevent crashing and hanging, and I signed up to get notice, but as far as I could tell there never was a fix. I updated after the promised date and the problems were still happening, and I did not get any notice.
2. I couldn't find instructions on navigation, so I couldn't figure out how to go back to a previous topic to check my work or change something. (I could get to approximately the right place but not to the exact right place, and I often had to repeat work that had been correct but had been erased by the program. It was also hard for me to get back to exactly where I had been.)

In trying to open my account it locked me out after several (unknown number) attempts. Request to make more attempts possible as it was quite frustrating trying to open my account when I haven't visited it in one year. Thank you

Recommendation: Keep it that way, don't get too cute or greedy.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I had a baby

Great System - Works Very Well

TurboTax makes it very easy to file tax returns. The instructions are easy to understand and it gets the job done with minimal time and effort.
What's great about it: Methodical checklist-style inputs eliminate chances for error.
What's not so great: None
