Why did I purchase the software?

I could have done everything straight from the internet without purchasing additional software. I purchased Turbo Tax Deluxe for the 1 "Free" state e-file but it charged me anyway. It even asked me was I ready to use my free state download. I could have done that without buying the software. The software also couldn't, or didn't, pull information from other Turbo Tax software that was on the computer, so I had to put it in manually. Will not purchase any software next year.
What's not so great: Not a free state file with the Deluxe.

Great Tax Software

I have been using this for years and it is always exciting to get to the end. Most of the times there are few if any problems
What's great about it: The step for step function
What's not so great: Sometimes it is not intuirively obvious.

I had to file with "errors"

I've been using TurboTax for years. One thing I liked is that it showed me my prior year's numbers so I could compare them with this year's before I enter them. That is more difficult now. But the other problem is that it didn't cover a few things, and I had to file with "errors". For example, I'm newly married and my spouse doesn't yet have a SSN. Turbotax provides no way to handle that. For another, it kept giving me an error on my health insurance coverage because it said something was wrong with the name... but I couldn't find anything wrong and couldn't find any way to correct whatever it was. I also had to mail my return because TurboTax had no way to import my stock transactions that weren't handled by one of its partner brokerage houses.
I did NOT at all like the constant push for more services, like audit assistance and annual subscriptions. Partly because of its "errors" it rated my return "high risk" - but that looks more like a marketing ploy to me. I'll be looking for other software to use next year.

What's great about it: It does a lot of the computations for you

If you have multiple casino winning all W2 -G entries must be made separately EX Casino Name Address City State

Very smooth and intuitive

Very easy to save and retrieve and the questions are very good. Almost enjoy doing taxes but not quite there yet.
What's great about it: Great questions to help guide you through
What's not so great: Wished it was cheaper of course.

2015 was similar to 2014 which promotes ease of use and allows
