Getting better, but always room for improvement

not clear on how to file Taconite Mining 1099-MISC Royalty. Not easy to go back and redo a previously-completed section.
What's great about it: new features and opportunities for bigger refund brought to my attention

Problems This Year

If it wasn't for one of your excellent Technical Services gentleman, I would have no hair left on my head. After spending 45 minutes on the phone, we came to the conclusion that this product does not work very well with Microsoft 10. Works great when you use Google Chrome. Due to the problems with 10, I wound up with Alabama tax forms on my computer, instead of New Jersey after paying. Till we started using Chrome we couldnt get New Jersey to download. When the security required me to get a code to go any further it would take ages to get the code and then by the time I got it and put in the code the code had expired. You have a lot of work to do before 2016 taxes are due.
What's great about it: Worked great for doing the taxes
What's not so great: Was horrible with some of the new added security that does not work well with Microsoft 10

very poor, cannot edit easily and correct mistakes, constantly had to go back and answer same questions over and over again. There should be an easy way to navigate to correct and or and or delete numbers or information and not having to start over again.

Not Happy with Turbo Tax !!

I rate Turbo Tax (TT) very poor this year!! There were several problems that made me question whether my tax returns were accurately calculated.
1) TT was difficult to work with and it would not save some of the items I tried to enter. I purchased 2 cars this year and wanted to see which deduction would benefit me more, state sales tax or state income tax. I put in the information for 2 cars and it would save 3 cars. When I would delete 1 car and save, it would only show 1 car. Of course the impact on my taxes was significant. At one point, I was ready to e-file my returns and noticed there were 3 cars shown again. I luckily caught the error before I filed. Hopefully it's correct now.
2) I also had a problem with standard vs. itemized deduction. At one point, TT indicated that the standard deduction was my best choice. I knew that was not right and chose the itemized deductions, which saved me several hundred dollars. I'm wondering what other mistakes TT made on my returns ??
3) At the end when it was time to review my return, I followed the steps TT suggested. When the review was done, I was to click on the "continue" button. The continue button would take me back to the review cycle again...this happened several times! I finally had to click on the File tab myself.
I wasted a lot of time with Turbo Tax this year and I'm not confident my taxes were done properly !!!

What's great about it: easily transferred my information from previous years
What's not so great: several times I saved information only to have it incorrect when I returned to that form.

Tax filing went fine this year. No concerns to note.
What's great about it: went smoothly this year
What's not so great: no problems noted
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
