difficulty getting to the federal tax tables from this program; very expensive to file state taxes through Turbo Tax when the State of Wisconsin offers free electronic tax filing.
What's great about it: Very fast, easy to do.
What's not so great: Do not care for all the extras you keep trying to sell throughout the process.

Quick and Easy

Have used Turbotax for many years. This was the easiest that I have found. Imports almost all the information and takes out all the frustrations.
What's great about it: Very Detailed. Walks you through all scenarios.
What's not so great: None.

There seems to be several things wrong with this software. When you transfer the past years information in and want to check dependent status, then click on edit, although you do not make any changes, the software changes your filing status and it will not allow you to change it to what it should be. Therefore you have to start all over. Another thing is does, if you enter dependent information in twice, by mistake and remove it, it does not remove it from the forms from, causing errors. Have to go into the forms and delete them there manually. This also happens if you enter school information twice. Although you delete the duplicate, it does NOT delete in the forms, causing errors and wants to enter the dependent again. Have to go into the forms and delete forms manually to get it to work properly.
What's great about it: You can file yourself
What's not so great: Not everything works properly

This is the 19th return I've filed using TurboTax. If it didn't work well for me, I would not come back.
I has an issue efiling on Windows 10 using IE. Installed Chrome (set as default) it worked fine after that.
What's great about it: 19 years of TurboTax filings
What's not so great: Windows 10 using IE was troublesome
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
