Works just fine

I have no problem with the basic program, but being asked to take part in the Answer Xchange at the end left me a bit sour. You make it a little difficult. I had 10 minutes in typing my question answer, then 20 MINUTES in trying to get a flipping login set up, which I knew nothing about until I tried to enter my 'helping answer'. Your site then could not seem to get me lined out with a login, so....... Never mind. Moving on.
What's great about it: simplicity

one software glitch: In personal information, you list Sr. as the way to designate Senior, where in the final error check just prior to efile, you insist on SR, no period, and force me to go back to personal info to correct. You should correct in personal info.
What's great about it: very straight forward tour through entering the information and numbers

Tax Filing Made Easy

Overall this is an easy way to file taxes. I've used Turbo Tax for at least 8 years and will continue into the future. I made the mistake of trying to use H & R Block's computer file one year because the price was cheaper than Turbo Tax and ended up going out and buying Turbo Tax anyway. H & R Block was confusing, the questions weren't simple, and they didn't ask as many questions so my refund wasn't as much as it was with Turbo Tax.
My husband passed away last year and I was worried I would have a problem filing this year, but except for the form 1310 and not knowing where to send it everything worked out well.

What's great about it: Makes it easy just to answer questions and have it cover everything
What's not so great: Form 1310 Refund for deceased Taxpayer-hard to find address because you didnt list address on page

Quick and Easy

Overall it was very easy to use, this was the first time doing my own taxes and I found it very self explanatory. It would make it easier if it had a side box or something listing "to-do" items that I skipped over, things that I still needed to fill in but didn't have the information for.
What's great about it: If I didn't know what something was, there was a button right next to it explaining in detail.
What's not so great: I would've like it to keep track of the things I needed to go back to.

A Not to Taxing Takedown

I have used this for many years and I keep coming back. I have never had a problem unless it was user error. It asks the questions and you answer. Taxes done in less than an hour and you keep more of your money.
What's great about it: Easy to Use, Step-by-Step, and Inexpensive

Wonderful tool

Before Turbo Tax, I always did my own returns by hand and it took hours and a lot of hoping I did my arithmetic correctly. With this software, I have peace of mind that all calculations are correct as long as my entries are correct. It asks you questions so that you know what information is needed for the next entry. I like that I can go back and edit whenever I need to and it will automatically recalculate everything. I can go back and forth to different areas without losing any information. The cost is minor compared to what my friends have paid for a professional to do it and I don't have to leave my house or run around to different places to look for documents.
What's great about it: It takes you step by step if you need it but it also gives you a choice to be more independent in filling out the forms.

What's great about it: The fact that I can do it myself by going by the step/questions you provide is the best PRO
What's not so great: Some of the explanations can be confusing if you don't know Accounting "speak"
